Family Resource Center of St. Croix Valley (FRCSCV)

Your community resource center for parenting education and support. We serve families with children from birth to six years in Pierce, Polk and St. Croix Counties. We are a non-governmental community organization, working to improve the lives of children and their families through education, activities and support programs. We do not receive any federal or state funding, yet our programs and services are FREE and available to ALL families in Pierce, Polk and St. Croix Counties.
Reach for the Stars

More than 220 people from Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix Counties gathered to celebrate and support the work of the Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley at the organization’s fourth annual fundraiser.  Reach for the Stars 2009 was held Sunday, April 26, at R&D Banquet Facility in New Richmond.  

With a “Hollywood Stars” theme, Reach for the Stars 2009 featured a sit-down dinner, Hollywood music, and live, silent, and dessert auctions.  Guest speakers for the evening were five parents who participate in Family Resource Center programs—four teen parent program participants and one mother who attends play and learn group. 

Family Resource Center Executive Director Patty Draxler said, “Reach for the Stars celebrates the generosity of our supporters and the results of our work. We are honored and humbled by the energetic support we experienced at Reach for the Stars again this year.” 

All funds raised at Reach for the Stars help the Center continue to provide free and universally accessible parent education, resources, and support to families in Pierce, St. Croix, and Polk Counties.  Thank you to OEM Fabricators, Inc., our four-star event business sponsor.  We also thank all other business sponsors and in-kind donors as well as all individuals who joined us for the evening.  The event was a success because of you!
